easyDCP Plus and IMF Studio have evolved significantly over the past years. To focus our development and support resources on current software generations, we are ending service for easyDCP Plus and IMF Studio versions 2.X, 3.X, 4.0 and 4.1 effective October 1, 2026.

What is changing?

Service for easyDCP Plus and IMF Studio versions 2.X, 3.X, 4.0, and 4.1 will be discontinued. This applies to both technical support and manually processed service requests related to licensing and software usage, as well as the option to update an existing permanent license for these versions to a current version.

All self-service options available in the webshop will remain available and can continue to be used.

Can I continue using my existing license?

Yes. Your permanent license remains valid, and you can continue to use the software version covered by your license.

However, versions prior to 4.2 will no longer receive technical or service support. You will continue to have access to our Support section, where you will find FAQs, guides, and troubleshooting resources for easyDCP Plus and IMF Studio.

Please note that as operating systems and hardware continue to evolve, we cannot guarantee that these older software versions will remain compatible with future system environments.

Can I update to a current version later?

Once service has ended, permanent licenses for versions prior to 4.2 will no longer be eligible for an update.

If you decide to move to a current version at a later date, you will need to purchase a new permanent license or choose one of our subscription plans.

What does this mean for future update eligibility?

Going forward, updates of permanent licenses will generally be available for licenses within the previous two major releases.

Licenses from older major releases will no longer be eligible for an update. We therefore recommend keeping your easyDCP Plus or IMF Studio license reasonably up to date if you want to retain the option to update your existing permanent license and benefit from future features and improvements.

What happens to bonus licenses for the easyDCP Resolve Plugin?

The provision of bonus licenses for the easyDCP Resolve Plugin as part of easyDCP license packages was discontinued in 2021 with the introduction of the new easyDCP Plus package. Existing bonus licenses remained unaffected at that time.

With the end of service for easyDCP versions prior to 4.2, existing bonus licenses will remain unaffected and can continue to be used. However, there will no longer be any entitlement to receive or request a new bonus license.

Final update opportunity until September 30, 2026

As a transition for customers still using versions 2.X, 3.X, 4.0 or 4.1, we are offering a final opportunity to update an existing permanent license until September 30, 2026.

easyDCP 3.6.0 and above will be activated within the application/preferences.

For macOS users: minimum macOS 10.12 is required for easyDCP ≤ 3.8.9 products. easyDCP Plus / IMF Studio ≥ 4.0 require macOS 10.14.

1. Download and install the latest installer from your account at www.easyDCP.com license status.
   
        
   
   
2. If Select "Preferences (OSX)" or "Options (WINDOWS)" in the installed easyDCP application option "Activation Status" and select "Request License&Certificates"
   If you have a version ≥ 4.0 start the program in demo mode to enable activation
   
        
   
   
3. Fill out the form according to the instructions displayed and select "Send request". Your license-and-certificate-request will be processed after you log in and have select the license you intend to activate.
   
   
         
   
   
4. Then you can download your "License & Certificate" Data Set from your license status and import it with the corresponding easyDCP option "Import License & Certificates"
   
        

Note: This way of activating your easyDCP Product is only available from easyDCP Version 3.6 or higher.
