easyDCP Creator+ generally allows you to open and further edit encrypted DCPs. Depending on how the film key is provided, there are different workflows for editing an encrypted DCP:

1. You have an easyDCP Digest (*.dcpdig)

If you have an easyDCP Digest, easyDCP assumes that you are the rights holder of the DCP. 
In this case, you can edit the DCP without any restrictions. 
This includes, for example:

• Changes to the content
• Creating new versions
• Removing encryption

This means you can take full advantage of all the features of the easyDCP Plus software.

2. You have a (D)KDM (Distribution KDM)

If you have a compatible KDM (DKDM) for your easyDCP Creator+, your options are limited. 
You can:

• Add additions to the existing DCP
• Export these as so-called version files (Supplemental DCPs)

However, you cannot:

• Remove the encryption
• Integrate new content directly into the existing DCP
• Create an easyDCP digest

Important Note: These restrictions are intended to protect the content. Rights holders expect their DCPs to be handled responsibly, and these restrictions ensure that their rights are protected.
